I've built SS sites before, but wouldn't call my self an expert, especially now. For some reason images will not show up in the CMS or on the site. When I upload them they are placed in the Uploads directory and I can open them via FTP and verify that they are correct. The CMS does not show the thumb of the image and the page template is not displaying the image either, rather the path to the image.

I've checked the permissions on the upload directory and the individual images and they are set currently at 755 although I have had them at 777. I've never had this problem before. I am currently just adding using simple ImageFields for the pages, but this also happens when I try adding the the Content and through the Files & Images tab. Next step is to reinstall SS.

Any ideas?

Shebang!!! That worked. Not sure why I didn't see that when I was searching the forums. The patch here: http://open.silverstripe.org/changeset/113809/phpinstaller worked quite well. Much much much thanks Invader_Zim.
