Prevents website spam from clogging up your website forms, forum, and blog, by using the Mollom antispam service.

This is a commercially supported module because SilverStripe is an official Mollom partner.

This module requires the spam protection module.

If the blog or forum module are installed, they will automatically be protected by mollom with no further configuration. The dailybuild code for userforms is also linked to mollom in the same way.

Why would using Mollom matter to you?

Having forms, forums, blogs, and commenting features is expected of all websites now, but a large problem can entirely undermine them. While some organizations fear having such Web 2.0 features will let the public publish negative statements, our experience has shown this isn't the main problem. Instead, the biggest problems come from automated scripts hoping to inundate your website with unsightly advertisements. These make your site appear unprofessional and take time to remove. Using a service like Mollom means the vast majority of website spam is never shown on your site. Unlike most other systems, comments deemed spam don't form a pointless queue for you to approve on your site.
