We’re very excited to announce the sixth StripeCon EU, this year visiting the picturesque Austrian city of Krems an der Donau, October 10-12. This annual event in an opportunity for the SilverStripe community to gather under one roof and share ideas that could benefit the wider community.

What is StripeCon EU?

StripeCon EU is organised and hosted by the SilverStripe open source community, and dedicated to SilverStripe CMS/Framework. Last year in Enschede, more than 90 attendees came together for two days and heard from speakers across a wide range of topics, including some impressive live demonstrations. You can read all about it here.

This year will see another fantastic two day conference bringing together a collection of engaging talks, insights, and demonstrations in the picturesque Austrian city of Krems an der Donau.

Krems an der Donau

Krems is the eastern gateway to the Wachau Valley, one of Europe's loveliest river landscapes and declared a world heritage site by UNESCO. It’s also one of the oldest cities in the region, with a history extending back more than a thousand years. This rich history is evident everywhere, including in the streets and squares, the old monasteries and churches, and in the townhouses and fortifications. It will be a sight to behold at the height of Autumn during StripeCon EU.

This year's venue is the Kesselhaus—a former boiler house that has been adapted to a small cinema and event location, located on the University Campus of the Donau-Universität-Krems, approximately 80km from Vienna.

Calling all speakers

If you would like to join the community in Krems this October and deliver a talk, we'd love to hear from you. Full-length talks range from 30-60 minutes, taking a deep dive into a project, module, or other aspect of SilverStripe. We’ll also be continuing the very popular lightning talks—short presentations in which you can choose to share a showcase, project, open source contribution (like a module), or anything else of interest.

Got a topic in mind? Get in touch and we can iron out the details with you.
