SilverStripe Australia, the Australian arm of open source CMS software company SilverStripe, announced today that it is changing its corporate name to Symbiote and becoming part of the SilverStripe Professional Partner network.
This name change reflects the success and growth of the company as a service delivery team, allowing the company to focus on their commitment to collaborative solution delivery.
Managing Director Owen Windsor says: “We want to focus on the process of designing and implementing specific solutions in collaboration with customer teams. SilverStripe CMS will remain our primary content delivery solution, but this gives us the opportunity to diversify the products offered around this.”
As SilverStripe Australia, the Symbiote team has worked to build the SilverStripe brand in Australia and been active members of the open source community. SilverStripe CEO and co-founder Sam Minnée acknowledged this contribution saying: “Owen, Marcus and the team have worked hard to raise awareness for SilverStripe CMS in Australia and have added value to the community through their open source modules and expertise”.
As professional partners, Symbiote will continue to work closely with SilverStripe. “We’re excited to continue working with SilverStripe as premium partners and are excited for the future of the software in Australia,” says Windsor.
To support this partnership and the wider partner network and developer community, SilverStripe will be opening an office in Australia later this year. Minnée confirms: “We’re committed to the Australian market, and we will be building a team in Melbourne to support our partners grow their businesses. We look forward to working with Symbiote as a professional partner and the continued growth of the SilverStripe ecosystem”.
