SilverStripe welcomes Voyage as a Professional Partner

SilverStripe welcomes a new agency to the SilverStripe Professional Partner network: Voyage. The Christchurch based agency is a team of talented consultants, developers and designers who elevate businesses and brands through thoughtful ideation and execution.

Their knowledge and experience in helping to visualise digital products, enables Voyage to lead projects from the concept stage right through to delivery. Designing a polished digital experience involves collaboration, fostering relationships and a willingness to push the boundaries, something Voyage stands by with every project.

We sat down with Voyage to hear a bit about their work and why they build on SilverStripe.

How did you discover SilverStripe?

Ryan, our founder, was an ex-SilverStripe employee. After graduating, he completed an internship at SilverStripe and then went on to work for a couple of years before starting Voyage. Since then he’s continued to promote SilverStripe and has pushed for his fellow teammates to learn and develop with SilverStripe.

How does your agency currently use SilverStripe?

We use SilverStripe for any site that requires a content management system. It’s our CMS of choice for all businesses small to enterprise. We are also currently looking at how we can use it as an admin/backend to interface with React Native applications.

Why do you recommend clients use SilverStripe over other options?

We find a big selling point for our clients when we recommend SilverStripe, is how it trusted and used by a large portfolio of New Zealand Government agencies and large enterprises.

We love working with SilverStripe over any other CMS as it has a powerful interface, it’s very maintainable and being open source allows us to work collaboratively with ease and share any learnings we have from projects.

Clients have a great interface for creating content and with the release of SS4, this is only going to get better. Since the beta release, we’ve playing with SS4 in house and now can’t wait to start offering it to clients since it’s now stable.

Biggest agency milestone this past year?

Becoming a SilverStripe partner is a really big milestone for us here at Voyage. We love using the software so to become an official partner is a really big honour for us.

Another milestone is that our geographical portfolio has really started to expand this past year. We have begun branching out further and working with nationwide agencies to help them deliver projects which is always exciting to be a part of.

What goals do you hope to achieve with Voyage and SilverStripe in the next year?

We are looking forward to our partnership with SilverStripe. We hope to be able to work alongside and develop our skills even further.

We are also excited to look at how we can use SilverStripe as an admin/backend to interface with React Native applications on our future projects over the next year and beyond.

What would be your dream client to work with?

We happen to already work with a lot of what we call our ‘dream client’. At Voyage, we specialise in growing startup businesses.

These clients are a dream for us as we find clients with a new business idea who are willing to take design-savvy risks and really push the boundaries; at the end of the day, every startup business wants to create a massive impact to their market and our services are the perfect tool for making that happen.

We are also a team who really fosters our client relationships. Being a fresh startup business, a lot of trust needs to be instilled with us and a close partnership is always created from the process. The ability to be right beside the client from their bright idea through to seeing it grow, evolve and become prosperous is really rewarding for us.
